By becoming a monthly donor, you offer ongoing support that provides more than just a place to stay. You give women a home away from home, filled with care and compassion.
Monthly donations are affordable
Make monthly donations in an amount that works for you. The automatic and secure monthly installments make it easy to budget charitable contributions.
To help show the impact of your support, we’ve outlined a few examples of what monthly donations can provide. While these are meaningful ways your gift can make a difference, all donations are directed to the areas of greatest need, so that we can continue to support our guests in the ways that matter most.
Gift of comfort
For $20/month, help provide the little extras that give our guests a sense of home.
Gift of caring
For $50/month, keep our in-house wellness activities going, so women can gather, learn, and play.
Gift of courtesy
For $75/month, help keep our shuttle van running, making sure our guests don’t have to worry about how they’ll get to treatment.
Gift of commitment
For $100/month, provide steady support for our daily operations so women have a compassionate, affordable place to stay.

Frequently asked questions
There’s no “better” way to give. Whether you choose to donate monthly or make a one-time gift, your support makes a meaningful difference. Monthly donations simply allow you to spread your giving over the year while providing us with a dependable base of support. Ongoing contributions help us plan ahead, weather uncertainties, and continue providing essential services.
When you sign up online, your monthly gift is processed through the credit card of your choice on the 15th of every month.
To make a change to your account, including the donation amount, your credit card number, contact information, or to cancel your gift, please email us at donations@compassionhouse.org or call 780-425-7224.
In January, our organization consolidates your annual monthly donations and sends you a single tax receipt by mail.
CRA requires a current mailing address to be issued a tax receipt.

Compassion House Foundation spends approximately 12% of its annual budget on management and administration. The majority of every donation goes directly toward supporting guests and the day-to-day operations of Sorrentino’s Compassion House.
We publish our donor names each year in our Annual Report, and on our website.
All donations can also be made anonymously at the time of donation. If you do not wish to be listed, just contact us at donations@compassionhouse.org, or call 780-425-7224.

Simple everyday actions, like shopping, recycling, or giving items you no longer need, can add up in meaningful ways. It’s an easy way to make a difference as part of your regular routine.
In-kind donations
We accept many in-kind donations at Sorrentino’s Compassion House, including gifts for our guests such as quilts, knitted hats, wellness boxes, pantry items, and coffee supplies, as well as everyday essentials, like toilet paper.
