In this House, no one faces cancer alone.

At Sorrentino’s Compassion House, we support women who must travel to Edmonton for cancer treatments by offering comfortable accommodations and a community that understands, connects, and cares.

The story behind Sorrentino’s Compassion House

What began as a community vision in the late 1990s has grown into a supportive home-away-from-home for women travelling to Edmonton for cancer treatment.

A night shift rooted in care

Patti Nochez works while most of the world is asleep. From midnight to 8 a.m., she’s part of the guest services team at Sorrentino’s Compassion House welcoming late arrivals, checking in on sleepless guests, and offering calm reassurance during the quietest hours of the night.

Celebrating 20 years at Sorrentino’s Compassion House

Before cancer changed my life, I was a singer and musician for over 20 years. In late 2003, I recorded a song called Sail Away, written by Roland Majeau.

“I immediately felt a warm embrace for all the staff and fellow guests. I felt my spirits rise with each day that passed.”
