accommodationsSorrentino's Compassion House is a warm and supportive environment for those undergoing breast cancer treatment, diagnosis or follow up care at the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton. There are six bedrooms, each with a private ensuite, television, phone, desk, reclining chair, and two single beds. Each suite accommodates one guest and a companion (which must be 18 years or older). There is also access to a large kitchen, two separate laundry facilities, gym, library, craft room, resource room and several common areas. The kitchen is equipped with two microwaves, two dishwashers, private cupboard and fridge space for each guest. All kitchen necessities are available to each guest. Guests are responsible for buying their own groceries, preparing their own meals, and general tidying. The house is located close to the Cross Cancer Institute. It is a five minute drive and fifteen minute walk. A complimentary shuttle service is available to guests for transportation to and from their appointments. There is a large parking lot in the rear of the house which allows for 1 vehicle/suite. There are several amenities close to the house as we are two blocks from Edmonton's famous Whyte Avenue, known for its trendy clothing stores, fabulous cafes and restaurants as well as grocery stores. One of Edmonton's major shopping malls, Southgate Shopping Centre is less than 5 minutes away! For those that wish to venture out and see the city, Sorrentino's Compassion House is located on a major bus route.
