Sorrentino's Compassion House

** Please note that as of Feb. 1, 2013 Sorrentino's Compassion House is closing for construction. We are excited to re-open the expanded and renovated house later this year! **

The Compassion House Foundation was established in 1998 with the vision to build a facility supporting women with breast cancer from Northern Alberta during diagnosis, treatment and the early stages of recovery.

In early 2001, the Key to Compassion Capital Campaign was launched. With the generous support of the Edmonton community, and donors across the province, the facility was under construction by September of that year.

Today we operate a bright and spacious home named Sorrentino's Compassion House in recognition of the Capital Campaign support of the Sorrentino's Restaurant Group and the Saccomanno and Rago families.

Since we first opened our doors in September 2002, we have provided a warm and supportive home away from home for more than 625 women with breast cancer and their families. We have welcomed guests from over 160 different communities in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and the Northwest Territories.

Sorrentino's Compassion House is supported by the Compassion House Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization. Our mission is to provide sanctuary and support to women with breast cancer within and beyond our four walls. The Foundation relies on donations to operate Sorrentino's Compassion House.
